Woman, 18, gets 6 years for beating, torture
Dartmouth -- A young Nova Scotia woman has been given six years in prison for her part in the beating and torture of a teenage girl last fall.Brittany McNeil, 18, of Dartmouth, was sentenced yesterday after pleading guilty earlier to charges of aggravated assault and breaching a court order. Kathie-Lee Bennet was kicked and punched and lit cigarettes were stuck into her ears during a prolonged attack in September.
