Harper cabinet absent at Arctic conference

Vancouver is playing host to Arctic security experts from around the globe this weekend, but conference organizers say they're surprised the Harper cabinet is staying away.Foreign Affairs Minister Maxime Bernier and Governor-General Michaëlle Jean were both invited to attend, said John Harris, the director of the school of international studies at Simon Fraser University, which is playing host to the two-day conference.
