Biovail settles class action
Biovail Corp. has cleaned up another of its messy legal affairs, with the signing of a settlement that will end a Canadian class-action lawsuit.The settlement parallels one signed last December in the United States, where Biovail agreed to pay $138-million (U.S.) to shareholders who had suffered from a drop in the value of their stock as a result of allegedly misleading information released by the company.
