Microsoft profit falls on lower Windows sales
NEW YORK -- Microsoft Corp. said yesterday that profit declined 11 per cent and gave a measured forecast for this quarter as sales of Windows software fell short, sparking concern about a slowdown in technology purchases and sending the shares down 4.5 per cent.
