VANCOUVER -- In a quiet valley near the southeastern B.C. town of Creston lies a community of about 1,400 people, renamed Bountiful when it was founded in the 1940s by members of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (FLDS), a breakaway Mormon sect that holds polygamy for men as a tenet of its faith.
