Making a pitch for cricket

SURREY -- Ravinder Kumar hits a ball off his cricket bat at a Surrey school. The ball lands in the steel net at the boundary; it's a perfect shot.There is no cricket pitch here. It's a regular school playground where children play soccer or baseball. Colourful swings and rides for the young kids dot the green space in one corner. There are two gazebos in the other, where senior citizens watch the youngsters play.
