Condo Bob goes public with his private passion

VANCOUVER -- In a city where it seems all conversations eventually lead to real estate, it's little surprise that one of Vancouver's big celebrities-about-town is a realtor.Bob Rennie - a.k.a. the Condo King, Condo Bob - has made a killing marketing condominium projects to the masses. But the thing that gets Rennie up (very early) in the morning, the passion that drives him, is his important and growing contemporary art collection, which until very recently he has said little about publicly. The Rennie Collection, currently mostly housed in a South Vancouver warehouse, has grown to at least 1,000 works. Some of those works will move into a private gallery that Rennie is building in the historic Wing Sang building in Vancouver's Chinatown. The building is slated to be completed this fall
