NHL: SABRES FRANCHISE WILL STAY PUT, OWNERSHIP SAYS
Buffalo Sabres ownership does not deny the franchise is for sale in the right circumstances, but not if the buyer wants to move it out of Western New York.That was made clear yesterday when, responding to a story in a Toronto newspaper, Sabres managing partner Larry Quinn issued a statement designed to reassure fans their NHL team will not be moved out of its current home.
