McDonald, Eckstein put on DL
TORONTO -- Rule No. 1: Always remember that ballplayers err on the side of optimism. One day after fairly doing somersaults around the Toronto Blue Jays' clubhouse to demonstrate how healthy he was, shortstop John McDonald was placed on the 15-day disabled list yesterday.
