Newmarket, Ont. -- The Great Northern Hockey League (Letters - May 10) as envisioned by Bruce Cameron is like the Canadian Football League, whose Canada stops at Montreal.Where's the team from the Atlantic? That is where 1) the game may have been invented (in Windsor, N.S.); 2) fan support has forced the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League to create a whole new division; 3) university hockey has perennially produced national contenders and champs; and 4) Halifax, after successfully hosting the Memorial Cup, the World Juniors and the Women's World Championship, is now hosting the Men's World championship.
