Poisoned in High Park

Two dogs died and six more are ill after ingesting a poisonous substance while out for a weekend romp in the expansive off-leash section of High Park.Dog Hill, marked by a yellow fire hydrant-fountain at the highest point in the dog-run, remained cordoned-off yesterday as police investigated the source of the poisonings. Yesterday, one beagle-cross and a Labrador retriever clung to life, according to lead investigator Detective Suzanne Pinto.
