BIRDS OF PREY: THE COMPLETE SERIESFantasy plotlines and sexy superheroes were the draw of this short-lived 2002 action series, based on characters in the Batman line of comic books. Being re-released in the general Batman frenzy this week, the series was set in the far future of New Gotham City, with the caped crusader in self-imposed exile. In his absence, crime was fought by three tough ladies: Oracle (Dina Meyer), Black Canary (Rachel Skarsten) and Huntress (Ashley Scott). The trio's primary nemesis is, of course, the Joker, played in appropriately manic style by former Star Wars mainstay Mark Hamill. The box set features all 13 episodes and the rarely seen flash-animation series Gotham Girls.
