Robertson, Ladner burn up the summer stumping for votes
VANCOUVER -- Everyone else in Vancouver spent the summer taking vacations, going to the beach, hanging out at city festivals, or, at the very least, going slow on hot days.That wasn't the case for the city's battling mayoral candidates. Instead, they attended up to a dozen community events a day, began asking for money from the deep-pocketed, hunted for candidates, worked on truces with potential critics and met Vancouver's VIPs.
