Male fertility restored after cancer

Madrid — Scientists appear to have restored sperm production for the first time to men whose fertility was destroyed by cancer treatment, experts told a European fertility conference Tuesday. Dr. Nikolaos Sofikitis said he is awaiting a pregnancy test on the partner of one of the men, but experts say the results are promising. Until now, the only option for such men has been to freeze their sperm before cancer treatment and use it later.
