Bush arrives in Ottawa

U.S. President George W. Bush arrived in Ottawa on Tuesday for the first official visit of his presidency. He will stay overnight in the capital and pay a brief visit to Halifax on Wednesday before returning home to Washington. Mr. Bush landed at Macdonald-Cartier airport and was officially welcomed by Governor-General Adrienne Clarkson. The airport was closed to all traffic shortly before Mr. Bush's plane — the iconic Air Force One — landed.
