It's the kind of news that understandably fills technophiles with revolutionary ideas.
The Internet search-engine giant Google announced yesterday that it was working with Harvard University, Stanford, the University of Michigan, Oxford and the New York Public Library to scan books from their collections and make them available on-line through Google-operated websites.
