Forestry faces dwindling supply

Vancouver — The consolidation that dominated the British Columbia forest industry in 2004 is expected to sweep into Quebec as major players rationalize their operations to cope with expected timber supply reductions in the next three years. Industry analysts are already expressing concerns about the impact this will have on communities and the roughly 100,000 Quebec jobs that depend directly on the forest industry.
