Open Text results could top forecasts

Open Text Corp., one of Canada's largest software companies, said Wednesday that preliminary data suggest its results for the final three months of 2004 were better than expected. The company, which emphasized the results could change, said it expects total revenue for the October-December quarter will be in the range of $110 million (U.S.) to $113 million, a record for the Waterloo, Ont.-based company.
