Children in tsunamis recruited by rebels
Sri Lankan rebels recruited three young survivors of the Asian tsunamis from relief camps into Tamil Tiger guerrilla ranks, Unicef officials said yesterday, a day before Prime Minister Paul Martin leaves for an Asian trip that includes Sri Lanka.
Ottawa officials said yesterday that Mr. Martin will use his voice to express Canada's opposition to the abduction of children by the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, or Tamil Tigers as they are more commonly known.
