Alleged U.S. abuse 'utterly unacceptable'
Kabul — The United Nations condemned the alleged abuse of detainees at the main American base in Afghanistan as “utterly unacceptable” Sunday, and urged the U.S. military to allow an independent human rights group to investigate.
The New York Times reported Friday that poorly trained U.S. soldiers had repeatedly abused detainees.
