A final vote on the government's controversial marriage bill will likely have to wait for the fall, federal Liberals said Thursday Both Prime Minister Paul Martin and Liberal House Leader Tony Valeri, speaking with reporters after the Liberals' weekly cabinet meeting, said they remain committed to passing the marriage legislation. But, at this stage, ensuring that the federal budget bill passes remains the government's priority.
