Cognos 8 raising hopes for company
Cognos Inc. is slowly regaining the market's confidence after missing financial targets last month, as analysts look to both stronger-than-expected demand for business intelligence software and a new product from the company to drive growth in the coming year.
Shares of the Ottawa-based firm climbed $1.10 or 2.5 per cent to $44.35 on the Toronto Stock Exchange, and gained $1.01 (U.S.) or 2.8 per cent to $36.
