Flights: CanJet flies to Deer Lake daily from Halifax; www.canjet.com.!

Car: You can rent a car at Deer Lake (reserve well in advance), but it's best to bring your own car. Rental agents require customers to sign an agreement that they will not take rentals across to Labrador on the car ferry. The Labrador Coast highway is well-maintained, with services from Blanc Sablon all the way to Cartwright.!

Ferry: www.gov.nl.ca/FerryServices/schedules.stm. One-way rate is $21.50 for an automobile. Reservations are recommended. You can cross to Blanc Sablon from St. Barbe and return the same way, or drive the entire length of the coastal road to Cartwright, where an overnight ferry departs every Wednesday to Lewisporte, Nfld.; Rate for an auto is $75.25.[-space-]
