PM ponders recalling MPs over trade tiff

Ottawa — The Liberal government says it may recall Parliament early from summer break because of the softwood-lumber dispute with the United States, as Ottawa upped the ante yesterday in the escalating disagreement with its most important trading partner. A spokesman for Prime Minister Paul Martin said that bringing MPs back to Ottawa early is not being planned, but it is certainly an option.
