BRIEF

Digital Glu offers small-business self-hosting sites

Globe and Mail Update

Digital Glu Inc. of Toronto has announced a range of small-business packages based on its Glaucus product line. The packages consist of the Glaucus servers pre-configured with a web site customized to meet each small business owner's specific requirements including text, pictures and a quotation form.

Customers have the convenience of submitting files (even very large files) directly on the website without leaving their desks; The appropriate person at the business is automatically notified of all requests for quotations with all the information needed since the form is customized for that purpose; the uploaded files are accessible on all the computers on the businesses network as soon as the customers upload them, and since the server is running on the business's local network, there is no need to pay monthly Web hosting fees.
