Tory staffers axed in backroom shakeup
Ottawa and Halifax The federal Tories have taken the axe to their parliamentary staff, letting go a number of senior workers with rumours of more firings to come on the eve of the party's crucial pre-session caucus.
Sources told The Globe and Mail yesterday that four key organizers have been let go, with the likelihood another dozen or so will be shown the door down the line.
