UN trying to reverse Iraq's new referendum rules
Baghdad — The United Nations has criticized last-minute changes that Iraq's Shiite-led government made to its electoral laws before an Oct. 15 vote on a new constitution, and UN officials were trying Tuesday to persuade the legislators to reverse the amendments, a UN spokesman said.
