The battle for your home phone

Marie-Claude Lamothe, a 35-year-old resident of Notre-Dame-de-L'Île-Perrot, decided earlier this year to switch her family's local home telephone service from Bell Canada to her cable company, Vidéotron Ltée. The motive behind the change was clear: Ms. Lamothe wanted a lower phone bill. "I don't see a difference in the service, and I save quite a bit of money," the stay-at-home mother of two explains.
