A new billing model

After 18 years as a corporate lawyer with two of the country's most prominent law firms, Bob Aziz suspected he would get a different perspective on his profession when he joined Toronto-Dominion Bank.
But he didn't know how different.
When he joined TD Bank in 2001 as a senior vice-president and assistant general counsel, Mr. Aziz was able to tally for the first time the total amount of legal fees paid annually by a major Canadian company.
