Personal bankruptcies rise 3.3%
OTTAWA —
Both personal and business bankruptcies rose in September from August.
Industry Canada says 7,171 individuals and 580 businesses declared bankruptcy in September compared with 6,941 individuals and 533 businesses in August.
In the first nine months of this year, there were 64,126 consumer bankruptcies and 5,791 business bankruptcies.
