QUESTION: I have a DSL account, but it is currently disconnected, so I was trying to use the dail-up option I was told by the ISP that I could do this, but it won't work. Is there a setting that needs to be changed to use a dial-up connection instead of DSL?

ANSWER: Jeanette, we'll need a bit more information. What is it that won't work? Do you have a dial up modem? Are you able to create the dial-up connection through Control Panel, Network Connections? If so, then you'd need to go into Internet Explorer, Tools, Internet Options, Conections and click on the radio button that says 'Dial whenever a Network Connection is not present.' Otherwise, your PC will assume you still have the DSL/LAN connection.
