Madonna isn't often spotted in the august halls of the American Museum of Natural History, which may partially account for the terror she struck in the heart of four academics when she showed up last week. She wasn't even there in person, just a voguing apparition shimmering down from a screen where the cover of this month's Tatler magazine, on which she appears, was projected.
