NDP would take more action on environment: Layton

Jack Layton outlined his party's action plan on the environment Tuesday, slamming the Liberals' record on reducing greenhouse gases.
An NDP government would introduce tough new Clean Air, Clean Water, and Polluter Pay Acts, he said. The party would also encourage homeowners to decrease their energy consumption and cut heating bills through a "comprehensive home retrofit plan," he said.
