Grandi reaches podium

Kranjska Gora, Slovenia After winning a pair of World Cup gold medals before Christmas a year ago, Canadian skier Thomas Grandi admitted he was frustrated by his slow start this season.
But the Banff, Alta., native is hoping his bronze-medal performance in a giant slalom race Wednesday will be a turning point.
"It was a big day for me," he said. "It's kind of been a tough season for me up until this point, especially in GS.
