Can't find program on PC after installation

Globe and Mail Update

QUESTION: I brought my Day-Timers organizer 2.0 home from the office. I have used it for years at the office and now I want to use it at home. I have started a home business. I loaded it onto my computer, but I cant find it. is there something I can do or buy to make it work. I love Day-Timers. I know how to use it. I not real smart when it comes to computers, please help.

Thanks,

Dan Lewis

ANSWER: Is the day-timer compatible with Windows XP? Are you getting any error messages during the installation? If the program doesn't appear in the start menu (usually under start->all programs->company name->program name) you can search the hard drive for files of that name. If any are found look in the column labelled 'in folder' and if you see the words 'start menu' in there anywhere copy that file to your desktop and give it a try.
