Harper wants retraction

Waterdown, Ont. — Conservative Leader Stephen Harper demanded today that Paul Martin and labour leader Buzz Hargrove distance themselves from the suggestion that Quebeckers should vote for a separatist candidate if that is the best way to defeat a Conservative government. "I don't care how much the Liberal party wants to stay in power," said Mr. Harper.
