Emerson switch 'slap in the face'

VANCOUVER A crescendo of jeers drowned out the cheers yesterday over the stunning, political switcheroo by former Liberal "dream team" member David Emerson that catapulted him back into the federal cabinet.
"We all worked very hard to elect a Liberal candidate, and now we find out we elected a Conservative," said a bitter John McNamee, secretary of the Liberal riding association in Mr. Emerson's Vancouver-Kingsway constituency.
