OTTAWA Diane Ablonczy worked for years to build a reputation as a relentless and formidably prepared Opposition critic in the House of Commons.She is a former lawyer, teacher and successful grain-farm manager.
She introduced Stephen Harper to his future wife, Laureen Teskey, in the early 1990s because she thought the politics-obsessed young man could use a little lightening up.
