No goals, and no medal for Russians

Turin — Russia left the Olympics with no goals in two straight games, and no medals for only the second time in 50 years. The Russians were the quickest, highest scoring team in men's Olympic hockey through the sixth game, a historic 2-0 victory over Canada in the quarter-finals. That made them favourites going into the final four. Then the goals vanished.
