Vancouver's quadriplegic mayor in spotlight
TURIN — It certainly had a ring to it."And now, in accordance with tradition, I declare the 2006 Winter Games closed," Jacques Rogge, president of the International Olympic Committee, told the crowd.
"I call upon the youth of the world to assemble four years from now in Vancouver to celebrate the 21st Olympic Games."
And just like that the Olympic baton was passed to Canada.
