Adonis Stevenson reaches boxing medal round

Melbourne, Australia Middleweight boxer Adonis Stevenson pounded his way into Thursday's semi-finals in the 75-kilogram weight class, assuring Canada of a medal in the ring and continuing a string of Commonwealth Games podium appearances in the sport stretching back to 1970.
The 28-year-old Stevenson, from Laval, Que., is the only one of 10 Canadian boxers to reach the medal rounds.
