B.C. footed bill for causeway blamed in mass salmon kill
VANCOUVER As part of a continuing drive to increase gravel mining in the Fraser River, the B.C. government co-ordinated and paid for the construction of a causeway that has been blamed for killing about two million young pink salmon this spring.
The province was also responsible for monitoring the environmental impact of the project, which, according to a recent study by the B.C.
