johnna abdou from Moose Jaw, Canada writes: I've been following your column and have enjoyed the wide selection of books. I'm an avid reader and always appreciate new suggestions. I'd like to make a suggestion to you: Anything Boys Can Do by Angie Abdou. You'll likely notice that we have the last name, but never discount a book just because it is promoted by the author's mother. Remember Confederacy of Dunces was published only because of a pushy mother and it won the Pulitizer Prize. Unfortunately, that author had to commit suicide first. Anything Boys Can Do is a collection of short stories published by Thistledown in 2006. It sold out the first run in just five months and is now into a second printing. For more information, see the author's website: www.abdou.ca
