Inco may find help with bid for Falconbridge
VANCOUVER —
Inco Ltd. may strike a deal with a deeper-pocketed partner to help raise its bid for
Falconbridge Ltd. and thwart rival bidder
Xstrata PLC, industry observers said yesterday.
In May, Inco increased the cash component of its offer and could do so again. Putting more cash into the pot, however, could hurt the company's credit rating down the line.
