Senate report to call for the CBC to return to its roots
A parliamentary committee will release Wednesday a sweeping report on the Canadian media industry that will call for tougher ownership restrictions, a new regulatory framework for acquisitions, and a new road map for the CBC.
The Senate transport and communications committee is to unanimously recommend that Ottawa pay closer attention to media consolidation.
