Britain marks grim July 7 anniversary
London Prime Minister Tony Blair, police and survivors bowed their heads for a nationwide two-minute silence Friday commemorating the anniversary of suicide bombings on London's mass-transit system that killed 52 people.
Makeshift shrines and piles of roses and daisies adorned the front of the Kings Cross rail station, one of the sites of the July 7, 2005, co-ordinated attacks on three subway trains and a bus.
