Commuter agony: 12 days a year stuck in traffic

After too many agonizing commutes to his job in Montreal -- stuck in traffic and obsessing about "all the things I wasn't doing" -- Mario De Fanti parked his car and worked out a telecommuting arrangement with his employer.
The move has saved Mr. De Fanti, a manager with Nortel Networks Corp., a lot of aggravation and at least two hours a day.
"Half the time, especially in the winter, I would never get in at the time that I planned to get into the office.
