Ontario plans appeal on Caledonia ruling
Toronto The Ontario government plans to appeal a decision by a provincial court judge, arguing that he exceeded his jurisdiction in ordering a halt to land-claims talks with a reserve in Southern Ontario.
Ontario Attorney-General Michael Bryant said the province will act "as expeditiously as possible" in pursuing the appeal as well as a suspension of Mr. Justice T. David Marshall's ruling handed down Tuesday.
