Blogging in the belly of the beast

One year ago, when CBC workers started walking the picket line on the first day of a two-month lockout, another pivotal moment occurred in CBC history: the rise and continuing prominence of Internet blogs debating all things CBC. Now, as the public broadcaster heads towards a license-renewal process likely to take place next year, the blogs could easily gain importance as a conduit for the day-to-day debate on what the CBC is doing right or wrong.
