Randy Hyland from Winnipeg, Canada writes: We don't have to wait that long. Already the speculators a wringing their greedy hands in glee. What a load of crap! If it's not because of Middle East tensions , it's because or Refinery Problems or shortage of stocks. Maybe we could have a Oil takner in trouble somewhere this week to get the price a little higher. As I say what a load of crap, and they fully expect us to believe this to. :-(

Philip Van Bergen from Hashima, Canada writes: I feel sorry for Haiti and Jamaica which are easy targets for hurricanes. They are too poor to withstand any thing fierce- even rich Japan gets battered by heavy typhoons, but at least it has concrete breakwaters out off the coast and has sturdier buildings. On another note, why is the Globe and Mail still using miles per hour in this day and age? Looks like lazy journalism on their part, and is confusing for the reader. Canadian kids haven't been taught miles or other imperial measurements since the early seventies. I have no idea what they mean, and very few people outside of the UK or US do.

A Calgarian from Canada writes: Hey Randy and Jim - If you're so smart...why don't you ride your paranoia wave, speculate on oil stock and make some money. I am sure the there is a conspiracy to increase oil price, don't buy into it!!! Start using wood and whale oil for heating and lighting! Stop eating fresh veggies and fruit from Mexico and the USA!! Make you own clothes from bark and fur!! Ri…DICK…ulous!!
